What is the best time of year to seal coat my driveway?
 
Our season for seal coating typically begins in late March and continues through early November.  Generally, the temperature should be above 50 degrees Fahrenheit and rising.  In addition, there cannot be a chance of heavy rain after seal coating asphalt.


 How do I know whether I require the complete removal and replacement of my driveway vs. resurfacing it?

If 60% or more of the driveway is cracked, or when there are drainage problems, then it is more cost effective to remove it entirely and replace it, as opposed to resurfacing it or patching areas.


What is the standard thickness for an asphalt driveway, when removed & replaced?

The standard thickness for a residential, asphalt driveway is 3 inches compacted to 2 1/2 inches.


How long must I stay off of a newly paved or resurfaced asphalt driveway?

We recommend that you remain off of your newly paved, or resurfaced asphalt driveway for at least 48 hours.
